What’s better than a fruity, fresh, antioxidant rich berry bowls on a hot summer day?
What the heck is an acai berry you ask? The acai berry is one of the healthiest berries you will ever find. Acai is an indigenous berry found in the rain forests of the Amazon. This fruit has been heralded for centuries as a healing, immune-stimulating, energy-boosting fruit. Research reveals this antioxidant-rich berry may help suppress and repair oxidative damage.
Today we are going to share with you one simple way to make your own acai bowl at home! Let’s get started!
What You’ll Need:
🍓2 Sambazon Pure Unsweetened Superfruit Packs
🍓½ Frozen Banana
🍓100ml Unsweetened Almond Milk
🍓½ cup Coconut Meat
🍓1 tbsp Cacao Powder
🍓2 tbsp Date Syrup or 1 Fresh Pitted Medjool Date
🍓Granola – approx. ½ cup
🍓Seasonal fruit – sliced
🍓Shredded coconut – approx. 1 tbsp
- Blend together the Sambazon packs, frozen banana, almond milk, coconut meat, cacao powder, and dates in a high speed blender until the consistency is smooth. Turn your blender on and take breaks in between blending to stir the frozen mixture.
- Place acai mixture into a medium bowl and top with granola of choice first.
- Then top with your of choice of seasonal fruit and shredded coconut.
- Grab a spoon and dig in!
